ABOUT

 

Cara Kosmiski MS., CCC-SLP



Cara has been a lifelong resident of Kirksville, Missouri. She attended high school at Kirksville R-III Schools. She then went on to attend college at the University of Central Missouri where she obtained a bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders. She later obtained a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

 

After graduating college, Cara went on to work for the Kirksville R-III School District for 12 years. While there, she worked with children ages 3-15 years old. Cara then opened her own practice in 2021, Ms. K's Speech and Language Therapy, LLC. She also works for First Steps, reaching out to kids from various surrounding counties.

Cara is well equipped in Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC). She has various workshops for parents that involve making Communication Books and learning techniques for working with their children on communication skills. Cara enjoys working with kids of various ages and abilities. 

​

Cara has a wife, Danica, and 3 kids (Eva, Evan, and Ella). She enjoys spending time with her friends and family as well as going kayaking in the summertime.
